1. Bangerz - Miley Cyrus
Despite all the controversies about her performance at the VMAs and her naked appearance on Wrecking Ball, I am totally in love with this album. I like her and I know how everyone is so against her actions and dressing now but whatever. I mean, it's her body, her life so she can just do whatever she likes. And I think she's behaving this way now cos she's feeling hurt from the breakup between her and Liam Hemsworth. And we know how breakups affect us. Breakups change us and before the change there's a transition period before our hearts finally settle down from all the heartaches so yeah, this is probably the transition period for her. But still, I think everyone has to agree that she is talented. She can sing different genres of songs well enough with such deep emotions in them. I have to confess, I cried when I first heard the song 'Wrecking Ball' because it described how I felt. I saw this gif on tumblr that is of her saying that when she dressed conservatively, people call her boring but when she reveals too much, they call her a slut. So what do people exactly want from her? All they do is to criticise her every move because she is always seen on screens. I'm not a die-hard or number one fan of Miley Cyrus but I think that people should stop criticising her every single time she appears on the screen because she's human too and she feels exactly how we do. So think before you decide to go bonkers and vomit lots of upsetting stuff about somebody.
P.S. I feel that there are certain songs that were for/about Liam.
Favourite song(s): We Can't Stop, Wrecking Ball, Do My Thang
2. Born To Die - Lana Del Rey
She sings well, regardless it being in a studio or a live performance. Don't believe me? YouTube her live performances. Yes, she may go out of tune at times but hey, nobody can sing a song perfectly well unless auto-tuned or edited. I gotta say, she inputs a lot of her personal style when she sings live, which you'll never hear through her albums. It's really nice and soothing and at times creepy but it's damn good.
Favourite song(s): Born To Die, National Anthem, Lucky Ones
3. Random Access Memories - Daft Punk
What more can I say other than thank you to Daft Punk for this wonderful album? Anyways, here's an interesting video that Peter Serafinowicz did using Daft Punk's Get Lucky. I find it pretty interesting (okay, maybe a tad creepy for some) so.. enjoy!
Favourite song(s): Instant Crush, Lose Yourself To Dance, Get Lucky, Doin' It Right
4. Here's To Never Growing Up - Avril Lavigne
You wouldn't know how excited I was when I knew her new album was out cos I have been following Avril's singing journey since her first album. And the most incredible thing is she never seems to grow old! Google her past photos and you'll see that other than the change in dressing and hair colour, she practically looks the same. Impart me your skills, Avril Lavigne! (Cos my face forever has pimples, wtf.)
Favourite song(s): Rock N Roll, Here's To Never Growing Up, Let Me Go, Give You What You Like
Okay, finally I'm done and I have a confession to make. Actually, I have this post drafted since mid January but there were quite a lot of shit happening in my life and I delayed it till now, so I'm sorry to whoever that I disappointed by not posting lately (not as if there are any) but yeah. Thank you for reading. See ya! X
