1st post of the year!

Hello my dear readers! And HAPPY NEW YEAR! Yes it's a brand new year! Let's hope that 2012 will be good for us! :)

And since it's a new year, so here's a new layout! I know it's kinda boring but I just switched to Blogger's new layout and I'm NOT familiar with it at all. I know how to customise the classic template but not the new one, so until I have sufficient time to actually figure it out, maybe I'll do some more edits to make my blog looks more exciting. But before that, just bear with it, will you?

So how did you guys spend your new year's eve? Some of my friends went clubbing, some went to Sentosa, some spent the night at friends' house, some hang out everywhere and some just stay at home with their family.

Well, I spent mine with my mum. My dad was out working, shooting for a company dinner and my brother was out with his friends. I had a steamboat dinner with my mum which she bought from Koufu near my house. We had chicken stock and tomyam stock. Unfortunately, I couldn't have too much of the tomyam stock cos I was sick. :( But it was so delicious, seriously! Also, I saved some of the beef from the ones I cooked in the chicken stock for my dear princess, which is my dog. She loves beef, btw. Like me. Heh. Then I had durian for dinner! And thank goodness I didn't vomit any of this out. Whew.

So at 12am, I sent New Year texts to a few of my dearies. Custom-made texts, mind you. Not those default templates you can download from the app store or just the mass "Happy new year!" to everyone. Mine has names in them! Yeap, some have really long texts while some are shorter cos my brain juice just get squeezed dry till the end. I would very much love to spend today with someone special but not everyone is as free as me. Haha! So I decided to stay home and print my Public Relation Management and Practices notes, blog, do some reading and maybe try to start drawing. Yes, I've finally thought of what I'm going to draw and most likely I'll fail damn badly since my drawing skills aren't really good but no harm trying, I guess. If it's too ugly, the most tear that piece of paper and keep it in my safe. Hahaha!

Anyways, I'd really like to try a macaroon. Everyone's posting pretty pictures of macaroons on Tumblr and my friends are saying how nice they are but I've yet to try one! So well, if anyone gets me a box of macaroons, I'd love you eternally. Nah, just joking! :p Well, here's a picture of some macaroons. Ain't they pretty?! -swoons-

Oh, talking about Tumblr, did I tell you guys I have a tumblog? If I didn't, mine's http://desireforfashion.tumblr.com. Err, the name explains it all, actually. I reblog mostly fashion stuff, and also food, typography and whatever that I've listed on my tumblog's description. I'm a tumblr addict and I  reblog everyday. So yeah, spam alert if you're gonna follow me!

Have I mentioned what's my dream car? Heh. My dream car would be..

an Audi car! Yes, I love Audi cars and their witty advertisements. Audi cars spell classy to me and I believe my classiness will rise if I drive one. Alright, just a dream! No need for swats on my dream bubble but hey, I'd really like to have one. Hopefully I'd be rich enough in the future to get one! Or maybe I can just get a rich husband and pester him to buy one for me. Hoho!

Here's a picture I've found of a really pretty iPhone case that totally took my breath away! Seriously!

Isn't this pretty?! I swear this is like the nicest iPhone case that I've ever seen. Unfortunately it's US$34.99 which is SGD$45.43. That's REALLY expensive for an iPhone case. I'd never spend that amount of money just for a case for myself. Well, unless it's a present to someone really important. If not, I'll just sit here and stare at the screen, imagining myself holding my iPhone with this damn pretty case, walking around, getting the attention of many cos of this case. Just imagine. Yeap.

Yeap, I am trying to be a better person this year. I've been through quite a lot last year and frankly speaking, I'm not really sure if I want 2011 to happen again but hey. Let's just look forward. I am trying to be a better person. I'm trying to be happier and to be more positive because this is the best for me. I mean, life is short and I should stop spending time thinking about the worst case scenarios all the time. Instead, smile and stop thinking too much into things because eventually everything will work out by itself. And even if people try to get me down, what I can do is to give them the biggest and brightest smile I have to show them that,"Hey, you've no chance of seeing me cry and fall." And by doing that, I've won. And by being a better person, I can bring more happiness to the important people around me. Which is the most important and my lifelong goal of mine. Because who I have now are who I really love. :)
