KONY 2012

Came across this video on my Twitter timeline. And since I've nothing much to do, I watched it. It's around half an hour long but that amount of time was definitely not wasted watching that video. It's meaningful, and promotes awareness to the world about Joseph Kony. So here's the video:

Basically, this video is done by an organisation called Invisible Children and they're trying to let the whole world know about Joseph Kony and the things that he has done, like capturing male kids, turning them into children soldiers, and capturing female kids, turning them into sex slaves. The children soldiers are then forced to kill their parents and also to disfigure others on the streets. It originated in Uganda, Africa, but slowly spread on to other parts of the world. Joseph Kony is now the most wanted criminal as said by the US government.

Invisible Children wants the world to know about Kony so that the US government would deploy advisers to Africa, to assist them in arresting Kony. But by doing so, the government has to be sure that the people want this to happen and that they want Kony to be arrested. We can do so, by signing the pledge at kony2012.com and also by sharing the video to your Facebook, Twitter, Google+, blogs, and so on. You may also purchase Kony 2012 products like the Kony 2012 Action Kit, Bracelet, Posters or T-shirts at that website. Pass on the message to stop Kony and save the children now.
