Apps, apps, and more apps!

Hello lovelies! Been long since I've last posted and the main reason is cos I'm just too lazy to write up a post. (Forgive me.) And also I felt like I have nothing interesting to blog about. So, again, forgive me. Anyways, I came up with an idea to post about and that is.. apps that I use! Alright, if you have read my previous posts, I'm currently using Samsung Galaxy S3. I switched from iPhone 4 just last month after my 2-year phone contract was over. At that point of time, my iPhone was at the brink of death. Literally. It has scratches all over from all the knocks and drops. It lags like nobody's business and hangs sometimes. The home button has gone mad which is when I press on the home button, it doesn't react so I have to press it like 3-4 times before it detects it. Calls get dropped and all sort of crazy stuff. So in the end when my dad reminded me that my plan has ended, I quickly got a Samsung Galaxy S3 so that I can still retain my 12GB data plan. Whew, thank goodness.

Anyways, after getting to know how to use my phone and stuff, I downloaded some apps and here are screenshots from my phone!

 

This is my homepage! The background is a picture of the sea taken from tumblr. I thank tumblr for backgrounds for my phone, laptop and twitter. So, as you can see, I use Ubersocial for Twitter, Instagram, the default Camera app, Facebook, Foursquare and Smurf Village. For the bottom row, the apps are constant throughout the pages - Phone, Whatsapp, Messaging, Internet and Apps. These are the apps that I use frequently. Some of you may be thinking why am I using Ubersocial. Well, let me show you! 

First thing is that I can customise the colour for the top bar and the fonts. For mine I chose Berry Sorbet! There're 14 colours for you to choose from and they have colours like Cotton Candy, Green Tea, Grape Ice, etc. (I'm getting hungry!!!) And, you can remove the advertisement bar at the bottom manually by just pressing on the x you see there! Next thing is.. 

If you press on a tweet long enough, like around 2 seconds, you'll get a list of tweet options for you to choose from! Sometimes, I like to RT with comment which Twitter doesn't provide, which is one of the reasons why I downloaded Ubersocial. You can also delete your tweet from here if it's your own tweet! 

This is the second page of my homepage. The top part is current news provided by Flipboard. So you can customise this part to refresh the news every hour, every day or never. For me I have it at every hour. I like Flipboard because you can choose from the categories of news you want to read and choose to omit ones that you don't read. You can also get regular updates without having to enter the app. 

This is what comes out when you press on the Flipboard app. Before setting Flipboard up, they will ask what type of news you'd like to read and take out ones that you didn't choose. Which makes reading news a whole lot easier! Anyways, one thing I like about Flipboard is because they show pictures and a short intro as well to allow you to know roughly what is that piece of news is about without entering the page.

For me, I chose all the news sections except for Finance, I believe. (I don't quite remember, sorry!) So anyways, there're News, Technology, Facebook and Twitter whereby you can add in your own newsfeeds and timelines, Business, Sports, Style, Travel and Inside Flipboard (which is information and news about Flipboard).

Now, after I press on the Apps button you see on my homepage, this is my first page. And most of them are default apps. 

Social network apps that I use and PPS for watching dramas and movies. 

Camera and photo editing apps that I use. (Maybe I'll do a post on what camera apps I use soon!)

Games. Don't judge me!! 

 Default apps and 'Catch' is a memo app which I downloaded from Android 'Play Store'. 

Some default apps and a few apps I downloaded for other uses like Zedge is for ringtones, Popcorn to check movie timeslots, etc.

Just to clarify, I am not advertising for Samsung nor any of the apps that I've stated above. All of these are from me, and only me so yeap. I just post these to recommend or provide as suggestions to you lovelies out there who might need some apps to replace the ones that you are using right now. SP Bazaar & Pepper Lunch.

Hey guys! So how was the Singapore Polytechnic Open House (SPOH)? Hope everyone enjoyed themselves at the open house and got to know more about the courses that they're interested in! Anyways, I'd be pretty busy for the whole of next week but I'd definitely try to blog.

Well, I'd be busy cos I'll be helping out at my friend, Sherilyn, for her booth at a bazaar held in SP! It'll be open from 9th to 13th January, 11am to 6pm at SP's Auditorium. (Walk out from the MRT straight into SP, go down the flight of stairs, walk straight and you'll see the Auditorium on your right.) But it'll be best if you visit the booth between 12pm and 4.30pm which is when we will have the most number of people attending to the booth! So you may ask, what's so good about our booth? What we are selling are clothes that are unique and pretty at the same time. We're also selling accessories and all of these products at our booth are of affordable prices. We'll be selling clothes from here (cowaiiness.livejournal.com) as well as some other apparels which are not found on the blogshop itself! Aaaaaand, we'll also be having.. -drum rolls- LUCKY DRAW! Yes, we are going to have a lucky draw whereby winners may get free apparels or accessories or discounts! So come on and head down to SP, which is open to the public, for the bazaar now!

Anyways, had a gathering on 6th January with the GFM (2G Family) and took quite a number of pictures! We had Pepper Lunch at Hougang Mall.

Took this using the PopBooth app! I like the effects a lot! So the first picture had Siewyan, Huiru and me (from left to right) but slowly, Siewyan disappeared from the subsequent pictures. Haha!

Okay, so all the cams that I've mentioned above are just apps from the Apple Store and all photos are taken from my iPhone 4. So yeap. You don't really need an atas DSLR to take such pretty pictures since we just camwhore for fun and not using it for some formal photoshoot.
